Govt. Girls College, Started its journey in 1970with the aim of Upliftment of the status of women through quality education and has since committed itself to provide education to the girls of Vidisha and nearby villages in various courses encompassing the faculties of Humanities, Commerce, Home Science and Science.

 The College tradition happily brings together sound academic achievement with an extensive vibrant co-curricular activities. The students are offered many opportunities to explore their interests and investigate new ideas. We offer Club activities, Sports, Extra Curricular activities and a large variety of Musical ventures that our students can participate in and allow them to grow at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment.

 We Value Individualism, Creativity, Innovation and strive to nurture them in our students. We seek and adopt innovative methods to improve the quality of education on a consistent basis, as education is the key to social change and upliftment.

   I firmly believe that each student can experience success and go on to be a responsible, resilient and confident young adult. I am very fortunate to work with dedicated and caring staff members. It gives me immense pride to acknowledge the contribution of the teaching and non teaching staff. Teamwork is the key of Govt. Girls College. I am very sure, through collaborative effort, we can definitely achieve more to benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.
