Government Girls (Nodal) PG College, Vidisha(M.P.)

 

          The department was established in the year 1970. The courses offered by the department at UG and PG level .P. G.  Course started in the year 2020 with the help of Janbhagidari.

          We have both courses based on annual pattern as well as semester system according to Barkatulla University , Bhopal.

We have only one  sanctioned  and filled post of Assistant Professors and other one sanctioned and filled post of guest faculty by Janbhagidari Samiti.

The teaching staff is highly qualified. The results of the students at UG and PG level is satisfactory. The faculty members are the Teacher guardian of the students at UG and PG level and provides valuable guidance to the students Beside teaching.  

      Department try  to make the students aware of the past and legacies through teaching research and extension activities in Indian history and also in the consent of the world history. 

They understand the method of historical enquiry including how evidence is use  Rigorously to make historical claims, and discuss how and why constructing arguments and interpretation of the past have been constructed.We try to prepare our students for a wide range of career by teaching a core of set of transferable skills though the study of society, cultures and Economics across a broad chronological and geographical Spectrum.

 

         The history department values, skilled critically aware and inform citizenry in honest academic and public engagement with the past its meaning and its concequencies for today and the promotion and support of history and social studies education at graduate level and Post graduate for students of all ages and all backgrounds.

        The History department seeks to Build its students transferable skills employability and intelectual curicity along with rising public awareness about the past and its legecies through teaching  research and service activities conducted locally, statewide, regionally, Nationally and internationally.
