With the fast changing connected world, computer science and application is a key area for future careers across the world. The term computing covers every kind of digital technology that we use to create, store, communicate, exchange and use information.Computer science and application is important for the future because it is the foundation for all computer and technology applications.

The department (B.Sc.& B.Com  CA) was established in the year 2002-2003 , B.C.A.  2009-2010, PGDCA, B.A. (CA) 2017-2018, M.Sc. (CS) 2020.  The courses offered by the department at UG and PG level .P. G.  Course started in the year 2020 with the help of Janbhagidari.

We have both courses based on annual pattern as well as semester system according to BarkatullaUniversity , Bhopal.

The department of computer science and application, Govt. Girls P.G. college vidisha (M.P.) has offer a part of three year Bachelor degree like (B.Sc.,B.Com.,B.A.) Computer Application and Two year master degree like (M.Sc.) Computer Science.

Department of computer Science and application has well experienced teachers as well as fresh new age talented teachers.

The teaching staff is highly qualified. The results of the students at UG and PG level is satisfactory. The faculty members are the Teacher guardian of the students at UG and PG level and provides valuable guidance to the students Beside teaching. 

The Department has one full time faculties and four Guest Faculty Through janbhagidari committee.
